St. Paul Diner Offers Cheap Breakfast For Charity

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Nothing says breakfast like a diner. When it costs just $1.96, who can beat that?

One St. Paul diner is hoping to lure you in with low prices in the hopes of helping them help others. Cinnamon rolls, waffles and eggs sounds like a pretty good breakfast. And when it's for less than $2, it sounds too good to be true.

But the Daily Diner in the Frogtown area of St. Paul is offering just that with the goal of helping out the local community. Starting today and going every Tuesday through the end of the year, this St. Paul diner is offering, breakfast, lunch and dinner for $1.96.

So why did the diner decide to do this?

The Daily Diner Frogtown is a parent company of Union Gospel Mission, a group which helps provide care for the hungry, homeless and at-risk populations of the Twin Cities area. They need your help to provide food and care for a person in need.

The breakfast options include a cinnamon roll, waffle and eggs/pancakes. The Lunch options are a BLT sandwich, tuna salad sandwich and the "4 the Love Grilled Cheese." The dinner options include the Diner Wedge, the quarter fried chicken and macaroni and cheese.

The giving doesn't stop there. On Dec. 23, the last Tuesday of the promotion, the diner will serve 30 gallons of free soup and chili.
