Foursquare Tips

  • Under no circumstances are you to leave before you have sampled the sublime white nectarine snow egg -- a chilled, meringue-and-fruit blob of awesomeness -- or the "eight textured" chocolate cake.
  • Rated the best restaurant in Sydney and one of the top 30 in the world. Amazing experience. Last time I dined here I sat next to Tom Jones!
  • Make sure you leave the afternoon free. You'll be eating for at least 3 hours :D Then you'll need a looooong nap :)
  • Super expensive but worth every penny. This has arguably the best location in Sydney and the food is to die for! I'm already saving for round 2. Make sure you try the Chocolate 7 ways dessert!
  • Very good Dinner !
  • Quay is located by the water, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Diners flock here year-round and jockey for a spot on New Years Eve.
  • Home of the Snow Egg, need I say more? Recommend a reservation in The Upper Tower - best views of Sydney Harbour
  • Book at least 3 months in advance and ideally by phone to improve your chances. Well worth the wait!
  • Peter Gilmore is a genius. You get what you pay for - great views, fantastic service, and dishes that take you to another world. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu)
  • Haven't been here for a while and the quay makes good mojitos lol pig jowl and rock lobster was the bomb
  • On Oct 4, 6-10pm, Chef Daniel Patterson from COI in San Francisco cooks a six-course dinner at Quay. Enjoy with matched wines for $350 as a part of the CSIFF 2011.
  • One word. Amazing. Pig jowl is perfec
  • The seas pearls are delicious especially with a flute of Bollinger and that amazing Sydney Harbour View. A great destination to wow out of towners.
  • The twice cooked duck salad with beetroot and cucumber was delicious
  • Ask them what the quay to a happy life is. Go on.
  • Overpriced, average food. Beautiful view.
  • The sea pearls are a great signature dish. Try 'em
  • One of the best dining experiences I've ever had with a view to match. The mud crab congee and snow egg dessert were highlights from the current tasting menu.
  • Great for the "VERY" special celebration, and a great alternative to the Tet's.
  • The Sea Pearls were wicked. Consider asking to share a flight of the wines as well - the table next to us asked for this and managed to pay for one flight of wines but both diners got a glass each.
