Foursquare Tips

  • Best bourbon bar in Capitol Hill
  • Cured meats are off@the charts! There's a whisk(e)y for every occasion!
  • Don't be fooled by this article, boring bloody...par for the course in DC.
  • Solid Bloody Mary's and brunch menu is unique unlike some typical DC brunches. Croque madame is amazing and topped with crab.
  • Great bourbon list. The Spicy chicken sandwich has a great kick to it, with some sweetness due to pineapple. The bar downstairs is a great spot as well.
  • brussel sprouts
  • Namesake barrels are everywhere in this Capitol Hill bar that serves craft cocktails and food from Garret Fleming. It also has a vast selection of "brown water" as it's listed on the menu.
  • Great cocktails. A Henway is my favorite (gin, blackberry, and a touch of lime juice)
  • Croque madame
  • Amazing bourbon, rye and whiskey list ! Also stocks rare beers .. we had the goose island wild ale which was a sour beer ! The croutons with cauliflower was nice !
  • First time having brunch here. The tagliatelle is so amazing
  • The sprouts are pretty darn good
  • Milk punch is great and Sam is the best bartender around!
  • Great cocktails and alway excellent service. The basement bar, while rarely open when ice been there is really unique. Basically no food options for vegans but go for the cocktails
  • Seating first come first served, and don't be surprised if people cut in line (the staff will turn a blind eye)
  • Voted Best Capitol Hill Brunch of 2015 by Bitches Who Brunch!
  • The food is oversalted and the main floor's temperature is erratic. Good beer list though.
  • Nice atmosphere and good beer selection.
  • Didn't try any bourbon, but the food was overpriced/bad. My companion's BBQ steamed pork buns tasted like soggy biscuits & didn't have much meat. My burger was salty & accompanied by lackluster fries.
  • Good sazerac and Brussels sprouts.
