Want to have all of the elements of a classic old fashioned with just a dash of holiday flavors? Substitute a vanilla-flavored whiskey (or whisky) for your everyday dry one, for the slightest but most delicious twist on this classic cocktail.

- 1/4 Ounce simple syrup
- 1 1/2 Ounce vanilla whisky, preferably Crown Royal Vanilla
- 3 Dashes of Angostura bitters
- 2 Dashes of orange bitters
- Orange peel twist
In old-fashioned glass, combine simple syrup and bitters.
Fill glass halfway with ice, then stir.
Add enough ice to fill glass.
Squeeze orange peel over glass to extract oils, add peel to glass, and add whisky.
Stir just until drink is cold and serve.
