USA Chocolate Chunk Cookie Cake

If you want to feel like a true patriot, this easy-to-make cookie cake is sure to do the trick. Whether you’re celebrating a holiday or the Olympics, nothing says USA quite like this cake (literally).This recipe is courtesy of Krusteaz.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1 package chocolate chip cookie mix, preferably krusteaz triple chocolate chunk cookie mix
  • 2 tubs vanilla frosting
  • 1 1/2 cup colored chocolate candies
  • non-stick cooking spray
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Stir together egg, butter, and cookie mix until dough forms.
  3. Spray the 9-inch pizza pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Spread cookie dough evenly onto pizza pan.
  5. Bake 25 minutes, or until edges become golden brown. Let cool before frosting.
  6. Decorate cooled cookie cake with frosting and colored chocolate candies.
  7. To frost the cookie cake, use a piping tip to decorate the edges.
  8. Top frosting with chocolate candies.
  9. Use a very sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the cake into slices.
