Gazpacho is a Spanish classic, best made when juicy tomatoes are in season.

When I think of the Pittsburgh Steelers, I think black and gold. When it comes to cocktail mixers, what is a more fitting combination than dark rum and ginger beer?

Serve this drink to all the Steelers fans on Super Bowl Sunday.

Ingredients

  • Ice
  • 1½ ounces dark rum, preferably Gosling’s Black Seal rum
  • Splash of bitters (optional)
  • About ½ cup ginger beer
  • Juice of ½ lime, plus a wedge for garnish

Directions

Fill a highball glass with ice. Add rum, a splash of bitters, if desired, and top with ginger beer. Squeeze the lime into the glass, stir, and add lime wedge as garnish.

Eel Shopping Tip

A fresh fish should not smell fishy nor have milky, opaque eyes; it should have bright red gills, firm flesh, and a tight anal cavity.

Eel Cooking Tip

Whole fish should be stored upright in ice in the refrigerator.
