Raspberry and Champagne Float Recipe

Want a sweet start to the New Year? Mix up this red raspberry ice cream cocktail. Framboise adds a bit more berry flavor to a Champagne float that is both creamy and fizzy at the same time. For an intense fruit flavor, use raspberry sorbet in place of ice cream.

  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 1 pint of vanilla ice cream or raspberry sorbet
  • 1 bottle sparkling wine or Champagne

Layer a Champagne flute or cocktail glass with raspberries then top with ice cream or sorbet. Add another layer of berries and slowly pour in Champagne.

Raspberry Shopping Tip

Buying fruits in season when they are at the peak of their freshness make for great tasting food and can save you money.

Raspberry Cooking Tip

Don’t throw out your overripe fruit – instead blend into a smoothie or salad dressing, add to muffin batter, bake into a cobbler, or boil down with sugar and a little lemon juice to make jam.
