Naked Mai Tai

Vintage tiki meets modern mixology

This cocktail can be found at Kevin Diedrich’s Pacific Cocktail Haven, located in San Francisco’s Financial District, and is served with a monogrammed ice cube.

Calories Per Serving


  • 1 lime
  • 1/2 Ounce aged rum, preferably Appleton Estate Reserve Blend
  • 4 dashes triple sec, preferably Combier
  • 1 Teaspoon (bar spoon) orgeat syrup
  • 1/2 Ounce dark rum, preferably Coruba Dark Rum
  • Mint, for garnish


Cut a lime disc off of a whole lime. Squeeze lime disc and rub on the inside of a rocks glass and drop in.

Add a big rock. Add all ingredients except for dark rum.

Stir cocktail about 50 to 60 times, or until the cocktail is really diluted.

Layer dark rum on top. Garnish with a mint sprig.
