This recipe, courtesy of Sqirl, uses matcha (powdered green tea) along with brown butter and dehydrated starwberies to seriously amp up the marshmallow square game.

Ingredients
  • 11 ounce rice krispies
  • 4 ounce brown butter
  • 10 teaspoon (20 grams) matcha powder
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 7 1/2 cup marshmallow
  • 1/4 cup dehydrated strawberries
Directions
  1. Mix Rice Krispies, matcha, cut dehydrated strawberries, and salt in a non-reactive bowl.
  2. Brown the butter in a stock pot, then add marshmallows and stir with a wooden spoon.
  3. When brown butter and marshmallows have combined, pour into the Rice Krispies mixture and stir well.
  4. Quickly turn out the mixture into a buttered 1/2-sheet tray. Using slight damp hands (or better yet a bench scraper), flatten out the mixture so that it is even in the pan.
  5. When cooled, remove from the tray and cut into desired shape.
