This recipe, courtesy of Sqirl, uses matcha (powdered green tea) along with brown butter and dehydrated starwberies to seriously amp up the marshmallow square game.
Mix Rice Krispies, matcha, cut dehydrated strawberries, and salt in a non-reactive bowl.
Brown the butter in a stock pot, then add marshmallows and stir with a wooden spoon.
When brown butter and marshmallows have combined, pour into the Rice Krispies mixture and stir well.
Quickly turn out the mixture into a buttered 1/2-sheet tray. Using slight damp hands (or better yet a bench scraper), flatten out the mixture so that it is even in the pan.
When cooled, remove from the tray and cut into desired shape.
