Crispy, crunchy, gooey, cheesy, and sweet; this grilled cheese is sandwich genius. Created in celebration of National Maple Syrup Day by Snowday Food Truck and inspired by a recipe from Pure Canada Maple, this recipe is a must-try.

- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 2 slices hand-cut sourdough bread
- 3 slices extra-sharp Cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
- 2 Tablespoons pure Canadian maple syrup
Melt the butter in a medium skillet. Add the two slices of bread side-by-side. Place the cheese on top of one slice of bread, allowing the bread to toast for 2 minutes.
Close the sandwich and continue toasting for another 2 minutes. Then, flip the sandwich and toast the opposite side until the cheese is melted, approximately 2 minutes more.
Remove the sandwich from pan and drizzle a generous amount of maple syrup over the top. Serve immediately.
