  • 2 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs, beaten
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Cream
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chunks (or mini chocolate chips)
  • 1/2 Cup White Chocolate Chunks
  • 3/4 Cups Vegetable Oil
  • Orange Marmalade

Directions

For the Waffles

Preheat waffle iron.

Combine dry ingredients with a whisk.

Mix eggs, milk, cream, and vanilla in a separate bowl.

Combine wet and dry ingredients. Don’t over mix.

Fold in chocolate.

Cook in waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions.

For the orange glaze, heat orange marmalade in a small sauce pan over low heat, and stir. The marmalade will liquefy when it’s warmed. This should only take a few minutes. If you want it thinner, you can add a little water. Plate the waffle, drizzle orange marmalade glaze over it and garnish with chopped truffles in white and milk or dark chocolate.

Truffle Shopping Tip

Ingredients like olive oil, shallots, mustard, cream, stock, and butter will help bring French flavors to your cooking.

Truffle Cooking Tip

French cuisine is renowned for slow-cooked sauces, however a quick pan sauce will do just as well; after sautéing a piece of meat or fish, remove it from the pan, deglaze with brandy or wine, finish with a touch of butter or cream and voilà!
