Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices (about 32 slices)
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 Ounces Gorgonzola Dolce
  • One 6-ounce jar fig jam (about 3/4 cup)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Place the bread slices on 1 or 2 baking sheets, to fit. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Drizzle or brush the bread with the olive oil. Bake until crisp and golden. Remove the bread from the oven and let cool slightly.

Spread each slice of toast with about 1 tablespoon of Gorgonzola. Top with a teaspoon-size dollop of fig jam. Transfer to a serving platter.

Gorgonzola Shopping Tip

If a piece of cheese smells strongly of ammonia, don't buy it. This is typically a sign of spoilage.

Gorgonzola Cooking Tip

Allow cheese to come to room temperature before serving. This will accentuate the flavors and aromas.
