The Jefferson's Presidential Manhattan.
Now that the presidential election is over and done with, we can all agree on one thing: we have an election hangover. Fortunately, there's a cocktail for that. Here's to the Jefferson's Presidential Manhattan, made with the "Ridiculously Small Batch" 10-year-aged Jefferson's Rye. And yes, it is named for the third president of the United States — so no matter whether or not you're happy with the winner of the 2012 election, we can all agree to like Thomas Jefferson.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 Ounces Jefferson's Rye
- 3/4 Ounces sweet vermouth
- 2 Droppers Dutch¹s Colonial Bitters
- 1 brandied cherry
- 1 flamed orange twist
Directions
In a mixing glass, gently stir the rye and vermouth with a couple of ice cubes. (Don't shake.) Pour into a chilled martini glass, top with bitters, and garnish with the cherry and twist.
