Iraqi Shorbeh (Easy Lentil Soup)

Ingredients
- 2 cup orange lentils
- 4 cup water
- 1/2 tablespoon salt (or one chicken bouillon cube)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon dry onion
Directions
- Wash lentils.
- Fill pot with lentils, water, pepper, salt, and onion.
- Bring to a rapid boil.
- Cover, reduce heat to simmer.
- Cook 20-25 min until thick and yellow.
