Cococaramel Old Fashioned

: If Old Fashioned cocktails are too old fashioned for you, mix it up this holiday season

If a classic Old Fashioned is too old fashioned for you, mix up this variation on the standard cocktail this holiday season. Featuring a tea-infused bourbon but served traditionally over ice with citrus rind, this old fashioned is a little old school, a little new school, and totally refreshing.

For the Cococaramel Sea Salt bourbon:

  • 750 Milliliters bourbon
  • 2 Ounces Teavana’s Cococaramel Sea Salt loose leaf tea

For the cocktail:

  • 1/2 Ounce Campari
  • 1/2 Ounce sweet vermouth
  • 2 Ounces Cococaramel Sea Salt bourbon
  • Ice
  • Orange peel, for garnish


For the Cococaramel Sea Salt bourbon:

In a pitcher, mix together bourbon with loose leaf tea.

Let steep 30–45 minutes.

Fine strain to remove all tea leaves.

For the cocktail:

In a mixing glass, combine Campari, sweet vermouth, and infused bourbon. Stir with ice.

Strain over large piece of ice.

Garnish cocktail with flamed orange twist.
