While we do include a special ingredient in our restaurant version, we wanted to ensure that everyone had the chance to try a version of our yummy candied bacon. Recipe courtesy of Bob Evans Farms
  • 1 16 ounce package bob evans thick sliced hickory smoked bacon
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  1. Begin by lining 2 baking sheets with parchment paper to ensure the bacon does not stick to the pan. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Measure brown sugar into shallow-sided dish. Place a slice of bacon on the brown sugar, patting to help the brown sugar stick to the bacon slice, coating evenly on both sides. Place on baking sheet. Repeat with remaining slices of bacon.
  3. Place on center rack of the oven. Bake for 20 minutes. Check bacon every 5 minutes until golden brown and fairly crispy.
  4. Drain bacon grease and immediately remove bacon from baking sheet and place on a cooling rack. Do not let the bacon cool completely on the baking sheet; it can be very difficult to remove. Tip – place parchment paper underneath the cooling rack to avoid messy cleanup.
  5. Eat and enjoy alone or with friends!
