Ingredients

For the beet grenadine:

  • 1/2 Cup concentrated beet juice
  • 1 1/2 Cup pomegranate juice
  • 2 Cups sugar

For the berry transfusion:

  • 1 1/2 Ounce berry vodka, preferably Ménage à Trois
  • 3/4 Ounces crème de cassis
  • 3/4 Ounces lemon juice
  • 1/2 Ounce beet grenadine
  • Gooseberries, to garnish
  • Mint, to garnish

Directions

For the beet grenadine:

Heat all the ingredients together in a pan set over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, to reduce the mixture until it becomes a sticky syrup.

For the berry transfusion:

Shake the vodka, cassis, and lemon juice with ice. Strain into a stemless wine glass filled with crushed ice. Top with beet grenadine. Garnish with gooseberries and mint.
