Need a quick healthy snack? Try this creamy and satisfying strawberry banana smoothie with some healthy toppings. This creamy and delicious smoothie harnesses the power of two weight loss superfoods, strawberries and bananas.

Strawberries are low in calories but dense in nutrients. They are rich in antioxidants and contain a decent amount of fiber which can trigger production of a hormone that may rev up your metabolism and suppress appetite. 

Bananas often get a bad rap because of their calorie and carb content, but the truth is, bananas contain several nutrients that have benefits for digestion, heart health, and weight loss. Bananas are also rich in fiber and resistant starch. Both dietary fiber and resistant starch have been linked to an increased satiety, suppressed hunger, long lasting fullness after your meal. It has even been shown to reduce belly fat. 

It's a perfect snack that's both delicious and healthy. 


  • 1 Cup Strawberries, frozen, unsweetened
  • 1 Medium banana, sliced (frozen)
  • 1 Teaspoon Chia seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons Nut butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup Beverages, almond milk, unsweetened, shelf stable


Put all the ingredients in the order listed into a high-speed blender and let it blend until smooth, about 1 minute. Pour smoothie into glasses. Garnish with whole strawberries if desired, and serve. Enjoy!
