Product Review: Kitchen Table Bakers Parmesan Crisps

Kitchen Table Bakers gourmet Parmesan Crisps are crunchy, flavorful, and guilt-free. Three crisps are only 80 calories, and every product from the company is wheat, gluten-, sugar-, and trans fat-free. Kitchen Table Bakers is a small, family-owned business that is dedicated to making healthy and delicious snacks.

When founder Barry Novick needed a satisfying snack to help curb daylong food cravings, he toyed around with recipes and came up with these crisps at his own kitchen table. The company now describes these gourmet treats as "the crisp made entirely from cheese."

The Parmesan crisps come in nine flavors, from basil pesto to flax seed to jalapeño, and The Daily Meal got a taste of Italian herb, sesame, and aged Parmesan. Aged Parmesan is the strongest of the flavors, while sesame and Italian herb have delicious hints of seasoning that pair nicely with the cheesy bite. These crisps are savory and certainly satisfying. The downside to eating these crisps by themselves, however, is that they leave an oily residue on the fingers, so they would be better tossed into a salad or in a bowl of soup.

These crisps can be found at Whole Foods and a variety of other local grocery stores. Click here to get more information and for additional recipe ideas.
