Tips
- Try the exceptional Black Angus burger, ground daily, with a satisfying crust from the grill that gives way to a gorgeously pink interior that coats the mouth like steak tartare.
- Start with six oysters, a tankard of Sixpoint IPA and a plate of German cured meats. (Party like its 1899!) Now salad, steak. #bklyn4life.
- The place and food is awesome!
- Grab a seat at the bar or in the small outside space. Then order up a WeissWurst, Landjager, Pork Schnitzel and The Prime Meats Burger with Bacon.
- They now accept all credit cards....woohoo!
- Punches are changed daily and are just $5 per cup. Get the American Beauty, a large bowl of liquor with notes of strong black tea and raspberry.
- Weekend brunch is shockingly uncrowded. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes... even on a Sunday afternoon. Nice alternative to Buttermilk Channel.
- Veal meatball appetizers are super good.
- At this hipster-Germanic bistro in the boroughs Cobble Hill neighborhood, heaping plates of choucroute and sausages and creative cocktails explain the long waits and devoted followers.
- Homemade pretzels with kickass honey mustard (and buttah), people! Makes a great starter.
- Food is good but the service is TERRIBLE. Took over 2 hours to get through lunch.
- New on the menu: pork belly spaetzle and it's delicious.
- Order the Sakrut Garnie with the beef tongue... the food that tastes you back!
- The Amish chicken and pork schnitzel are highlights from the dinner menu. If youre dining in a large group, make sure to get a few of the housemade sausages for the table.
- Ok, wow. This restaurant is a pantie dropper. Food and drink obviously amazing. But the atmosphere and service outshines how fkn great everything tastes. Nice job Frankie you sexy bastard.
- Iceberg lettuce feeds two.
- Nice decoration inside, good for families or a date. Had the farmers breakfast for brunch and it was great.
- Our fave dishes - Bibb Lettuce, Spaetzle, Arugula & Pear Salad - arent heavy on the meat! So we can feel good ordering the Cote de Boeuf for 2 served with watercress - which is basically a salad!
- Brunch is so good here.
- One of my favorite brunches in the neighborhood. Always order the breakfast sausage.
