Tacos are an easy, go-to weeknight dinner that help you navigate your week with a little less stress. However, taco Tuesday can become cumbersome after a while. Spice it up by making even easier pizza tacos!
- 8 tortillas
- ½ Cup chopped onions
- ½ Cup chopped green peppers
- Pepperoni slices, chopped
- ¼ Cup marinara sauce
- ½ Teaspoon oregano
- ¼ Cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Drizzle a little olive oil into a pan and sauté your peppers and onions until soft. Drain excess oil and return to the stovetop. Mix in pepperoni slices until pepperoni is slightly toasted. In a small saucepan, heat your marinara sauce until warm.
Take your tortilla and fill it with roughly 2 heaping tablespoons of the pepperoni mixture. Pour a spoonful of marinara sauce on top of your “taco meat” and sprinkle on the cheese. Fold the tortilla and enjoy as you would a taco!
You could also add actual taco meat and toppings for a traditional taco with a pizza twist.
