If you’re looking for a more diet-friendly version of the pizza bagel, try making it with an English muffin. We suggest your lightly toast the muffin before putting the entire thing in the toaster oven to make sure the muffin don’t get too saturated with the marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 English muffin
  • ¼ Cup marinara sauce
  • ½ Teaspoon oregano
  • ½ Cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Cut your English muffin in half and place it on top of a foil-wrapped baking sheet, either for your toaster oven or your regular oven. Pour the marinara sauce evenly onto the both sides of the bagel and sprinkle on the oregano. Divide the cheese in half and sprinkle the cheese evenly on both bagel halves. Put in the toaster oven for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the muffin is toasted.
