This coleslaw is the perfect cool flavor to compliment the hot and tangy barbecue from Eastern North Carolina and is one of the more than a dozen sides from executive chef Darrell Brown's menu at The Pit.
  • 2 cup duke's whipped salad dressing
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon french's yellow mustard
  • 3/4 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • a dash of salt and pepper
  • 2 pound green cabbage, shredded
  • 2 1/2 ounce red cabbage, shredded
  • 2 ounce carrots
  1. Mix all the ingredients together well in a large bowl. Serve before chilling.
