Jack's Abby Brewing Releases Peanut Butter Beer
Two popular foods that Americans love that are rarely combined: peanut butter and beer. Until now, that is. Framingham-based beer company, Jack's Abby Brewing is introducing a peanut butter-flavored beer to commemorate its first anniversary. Although they've been brewing this beer in sample batches, this marks its release for wider consumption.
Jack's Abby Brewing opened up in Framingham, Mass., (a small town just outside Boston) last year to much praise. The brewery describes their brews as German-style meets American-style craft beers. Jack's Abby supllies a variety of bars in the state; its website even lets you plug in your address to find the nearest purveyor of their high-quality ales. If you want to check out the brewery, they offer free tours and tastings from Thursday to Saturday and a shop where you can buy their brews either by the four-pack or growler.
It's not the only peanut butter brew on the market; if PBJs are your thing, you can try Blue Moon's Peanut Butter Blonde, or Beer Works' Peanut Butter Porter. If peanut butter isn't your style (reviews comment on its heavy taste), try the Ginger and Juice beer made with ginger and grapefruit peels, or the "Brett Biere De Garde," which is fermented with wild yeast.
