Foursquare Tips

  • If they have it on the menu, try the Mushroom Ravioli. It has such amazingly complex flavors
  • One of our Top 10 Best New Restaurants in America. Chef James Holmes gathers his culinary inspiration from (and in) his backyard vegetable garden. The lamb fries are a must-have.
  • Eclectic, upscale, and seasonal fare, an excellent wine list, private tables, and exemplary service flawlessly converge in a gorgeous, Michael Hsu-designed space. Simply one of our city's best.
  • Worth it for brunch.
  • Chef James Holmes made sure his menu included a treatise about buying from local farms, foragers and ranchers, and it shows with his fresh and changing takes on Texas-style cuisine. Get the S.O.S.
  • The quail dish is always reliably excellent. Most folks who are disappointed are unadventurous eaters who prefer fried food to fresh local.
  • Another one of Austin's greats...I've yet to have a bad meal, but the standouts so far have been the diver scallops and the fried chicken. Also a great brunch option if/when you can get in.
  • Get the lamb fries! They will melt in your mouth. So good.
  • French toast. Do not order anything other than the French toast (except, perhaps, the blood orange mimosa).
  • Love this place for brunch. They have the best hot sauce selection.
  • The Macdaddy with poached eggs (instead of scrambled) is delicious! Even our server said he wanted to try it!
  • My favorite brunch in town. The fried chicken is a staple and my husband orders the pig's ear sandwich every time we're here. Delicious frites too!
  • Mac daddy breakfast...
  • Try the beef carpacio!
  • The Ginger dessert is the best thing I've had ever!!!
  • Don't skip dessert, chocolate cake was amazing. I suggest the Kobe steak or the pork belly.
  • Tagliatelle , Gnocchi , Cocktails , Service . Duck egg creme brle ...
  • If your here for brunch, you made a wise choice!
  • I made a reservation through Open Table and it was clear when I showed up that they hadn't prepped in advance. Food is good but don't expect great service.
  • Great brunch, try the florentine
