Are you looking for an opportunity to take advantage of all New York has to offer? Do you love to try new food? We have two words for you: Dinner Lab.

In New York's fast-paced, hustle and bustle-filled life, it is becoming easier and easier to feel like an onlooker and less and less like a participant. Enter Dinner Lab, an interactive and exclusive social dining experience that bridges the gap between chefs and dining enthusiasts, in some of New York's most unique and unconventional settings. It allows up and coming chefs to showcase their latest creative discoveries, and eaters to feel like a food critic for the night. The location, chef, and theme are constantly changing–ensuring that each weekly dining experience is as fresh and exciting as the previous.

Our first dinner lab experience took place at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar Arcade. The theme was "Breakfast of Champions" featuring Chef John Taube IV, of Nomad restaurant. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. to be greeted with Siracha infused Bloody Mary's until the first course was served at 8:00 p.m. We especially liked this month's dinner lab setting because of its dimly lit open space, outlined by the combined lighting of chic lanterns and traditional arcade games.

For the first course we tried three Gougeres — ham & cheese, spinach & goat cheese, and tomato chutney. The second course was Salmon Pastrami with cream cheese on an everything flavored croissant, drizzled with brown butter. Following the pastrami was Foie-Gras Scrambled Eggs with a side of grilled ciabatta and blackberry jam. Then we tried a Brisket Corned Beef Hash with baby red potatoes, caramelized onions, parsley salad, and maple vinaigrette. For dessert, we had a Pecan Sticky Bun with lime-glazed blueberries and caramelized vanilla. We were blown away to say the least.

But what we were more impressed by, was the communal experience. How often do you get to make new friends with New Yorkers of all ages and engage in great conversation over even greater food? What was most fun, was comparing opinions on the dishes, and then having the power to briefly write about it in the feedback form immediately following each course. Some of the frequent diners told us that they still keep in contact with other diners they met first at Dinner Lab, making the experience even more special.
