Passengers Chug $1,300 Worth Of Aphrodisiac Wine At Airport Security To Avoid Leaving It Behind

Two passengers traveling from Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou, China, made a tough decision when, faced with the prospect of having to give up their carefully acquired aphrodisiac wine at security, they chose to drink all of it instead.

The wine, bottled inside a clay tiger and reportedly containing powdered tiger bone, would not be permitted as part of the passengers' carry-on luggage, they were told. It was also too late to add the wine to their checked luggage, so the passengers, Wang Tan and Yang Wu, decided not to let the wine go to waste.

"It's good stuff inside," one of the men reportedly told a security officer, pleading for leniency. "It's aphrodisiac wine that was bought from my buddy's hometown. You know, it's very, very expensive. It cost us a good 8,000 yuan [approximately $1,300 USD]. Smell it, feel the aroma."

When the officer would not relent, the pair opted to drink the whole bottle rather than give it up. We bet it was an interesting flight, to say the least.
