James Beard American Restaurant At Milan Expo's USA Pavilion To Feature Daniel Humm, Norman Van Aken, Duff Goldman

Today, the USA Pavilion at Seven Stars Galleria in Central Milan has announced the lineup for the James Beard American Restaurant during Expo Milano, which runs from May 1 to October 31.

Much like the James Beard House in New York City, the restaurant will feature a rotating lineup of prominent American chefs, as well as talented Italian chefs interpreting American cuisine in their own styles. Four of the participating chefs — Mary Sue Milliken (Border Grill), Rick Bayless (Topolobampo), Dean Fearing (Fearing's Restaurant), and Norman Van Aken (Norman's at the Ritz Carlton) — are members of The Daily Meal Council.

Mark Ladner (Del Posto), will kick off the dinner series on May 8 and 9 Other featured chefs include Barbara Lynch (No. 9 Park), Daniel Humm (Eleven Madison Park), Art Smith (Table 52), Rick Moonen (RM Seafood), John Besh (Restaurant August), Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana), Duff Goldman (Charm City Cakes), Hugh Acheson (Five and Ten),  Ming Tsai (Blue Dragon), Tom Colicchio (Craft Restaurant), and Naomi Pomeroy (Beast), among many others.

On Sundays, the restaurant will serve brunch throughout the day, curated by chef Evan Hanczor of Egg restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with jazz, gospel and other classic American entertainment. The restaurant will also host special tastings, receptions, demonstrations, and various cultural events. Reservations can be made online starting in mid-April, though you can email restaurant@usapavilion2015.net to reserve specific dates now.
