San Francisco Gluten-Free Magazine To Intensify Production After Partnering With Meredith Corporation

Meredith Corporation, publisher of major lifestyle magazines including Martha Stewart Living, Parents, Shape, Rachael Ray Every Day, and Better Homes and Gardens, has taken on the publication of Gluten Free Forever (GFF), a San Francisco magazine founded by Erika Lenkert.

The partnership will bring GFF's distribution from 12,000 per issue to 250,000 per issue, reports San Francisco Chronicle. The first issue to be published under the partnership, the spring 2016 issue, will be available beginning April 19.

The magazine retails for $9.99 and will be distributed from mass-market channels nationwide, expanding from previous distribution within select Whole Foods stores and specialty retailers.

GFF features gluten-free recipes, products, people, and places. The upcoming issue will feature a gluten-free beer roundup, a feature on 'Southern gluten-free hospitality,' and recipes for gluten-free doughnuts. With GFF, Lenkert hopes to show people that gluten-free food does not mean 'un-fun food.' She says, "This is not a fad. People want to improve their health, and they find if they stop eating processed food — which often contains a lot of gluten — they feel better."
