This Canadian Sandwich Shop Lured Liam Neeson With Free Food

When Big Star Sandwich in Vancouver heard that Liam Neeson was in town filming for his upcoming film Hard Power, restaurant employees couldn't help but take advantage of it with their advertising. Luckily, the move paid off and the shop was able to successfully summon the actor.

One side of the sign read "Liam Neeson eats here for free" and the other "Come in and get Taken away by our sandwiches."

According to BuzzFeed Canada, the sign was put up on Tuesday, May 2, and Neeson showed up later that afternoon.

Although the actor didn't end up cashing in on his complimentary meal, employees Kyle Gus and Serge Patoka were able to take a picture with Neeson.

"As you can see in the photo, they're about as stoked as they've ever been in their lives," Alex Johrden, director of operations at Big Star, told BuzzFeed Canada.
