When women have pregnancy cravings, nothing will stand in their way until they are satisfied. But that, claims Kim Kardashian, is not the reason she flew all the way to Paris just to eat a slice of cheesecake.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star told André Leon Talley, Vogue contributing editor and a judge on America’s Next Top Model, in a podcast on October 20 that she went to Hôtel Costes, in the city's first arrondissement, for a slice of cheesecake — because she had decided several months earlier "just to have a last hurrah of all the food I’m not going to be able to have for a while.” Kardashian is pregnant with her second child.
When she arrived, it appears that the Hôtel Costes dining room was actually out of the cheesecake she desired, a famous confection often served with a scoop of sour cream ice cream. The hotel chef, however, was able to whip up the dessert especially for her.
So far, Kardashian told Talley, she has not been longing for any foods weirder than what most women typically desire. “I don’t crave anything in particular,” Kardashian said in the podcast. “Every morning, I have an egg white, avocado, and a piece of wheat toast. And for lunch, I love salad. And then dinner, it’s usually a risotto or a pasta.”
