Hearts Explode After Teenager Walks 96-Year-Old Man Home From The Grocery Store

The Internet has fallen in love with Christian Trouesdale, an 18-year-old supermarket employee from Aldi in Manchester, England, who recently made everyone's heart swell when he was seen walking a 96-year-old man home, hand in hand.

Trouesdale was first spotted by a local resident, who snapped a photo of the two and wrote on Facebook that his good deed was "a lovely thing to witness."

When contacted by The Bolton News, the young man clarified that it was actually the second time he had walked this particular customer home, and that he made sure it was OK to leave work for a bit.

"I asked my manager if it was okay to walk him home and he said that was the right thing to do, so I did," Trouesdale told the paper. "We had a good chat about everything from the general election to the history of Horwich — he knew lots about everything. My parents have raised me to treat other people like you want to be treated yourself."

Naturally, the Internet subsequently exploded with affection for Christian, and someone else created a fundraising campaign to "get a Christian a nice internet bonus."

In the day since the campaign was launched, people have donated £303 of the £500 goal. If you'd like to donate, you can do so on GoFundMe.
