Vikings Tackle Matt Kalil Lets Teammates Eat Free at His Pizzeria During Training Camp

Fellow Vikings will eat free at Pieology until the end of training camp

Vikings tackle Matt Kalil will give away free food to all of his teammates, a number of whom weigh more than 300 pounds, during training camp.

Kalil, who owns three locations of Pieology Pizzeria with his father, Frank Kalil, has invited teammates to join him for free at Pieology from now until the middle of August, when training ends. One of the locations is just a block away from the practice fields.

“They get to eat there for free,” Kalil told TwinCities.com. “If they bring their little keychain thing (that players have), they get to eat for free over there. It's a good deal.” Kalil is also expecting Vikings sightings to drum up more business and fan support in general.

“If they go in there and the fans see them in there and we just end up getting more customers, it works out for both of us,” Kalil said.
