Vetri Family To Open A Fourth Pizzeria Vetri In Washington, D.C.

The Vetri Family Restaurant Group, which was sold to Urban Outfitters in November, is set to open a fourth location of its casual dining concept, Pizzeria Vetri, in Washington, D.C., this month, at 2221 14th Street NW. This is the group's first D.C. location, with two other locations in Philadelphia and one in Austin.

The restaurant will feature "an expansive selection of seasonal, wood-fired pies in a casual, comfortable setting," according to a release. Offerings will include classic Margherita pizza, rotating Pizza al Taglio, and Rotolo.

Pizzeria Vetri is teaming up with artisanal gelato maker Capogiro to create specialty gelato flavors for the summer, where Capogiro will team up with a local chef at each location to create an exclusive flavor. The new location will offer Fior di Latte, Chocolate, and, in collaboration with Washington chef Katsuya Fukushima, a Japanese-inspired honey/miso flavor.
