There’s Now a Vegan Version of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia
Ben & Jerry’s has just released two more non-dairy ice creams made with almond milk: Cherry Garcia (the brand’s simultaneously most and least popular flavor, according to our scientific polling) and Coconut Seven Layer Bar (coconut with fudge chunks, walnuts, and swirls of graham cracker and caramel).
The new flavors have not officially been released yet but have been spotted by various junk food Instagram accounts in Philadelphia:
BREAKING NEWS: A new non-dairy @benandjerrys flavor, coconut seven layer bar showed up out of nowhere at south square market. I can't seem to find any info anywhere on the internet about its existence. It was super good. Loved the graham and caramel swirls. The ice cream had almost a marshmallow taste to it kind of. A junk food miracle! EDIT: no honey! Has the certified vegan logo!
"We cannot confirm nor deny the new Non Dairy flavors coming to shelves in 2017, that we’ll be announcing in the middle of February, no matter how delicious they are…!” Ben & Jerry’s representatives cryptically teased to media outlets like Refinery29.
These new vegan flavors come on the heels of the first batch of non-dairy flavors that were released one year ago: Chocolate Fudge Brownie, P.B. & Cookies, Chunky Monkey, and Coffee Caramel Fudge. Chunky Monkey and P.B. & Cookies were our runaway favorites, but will Cherry Garcia or Coconut Seven Layer Bar knock them out of the top spot? We’ll have to try them to find out.
