Taco Bell Is Testing Cap'n Crunch Delights Because Everyone Refuses To Grow Up

Taco Bell knows exactly how much you love mashups, and that's why, on the heels of its Sriracha Quesarito and Snapple Lemonade Freeze, the company has revealed that it is working on a breakfast item called Cap'n Crunch Delights.

Meant to evoke a giant Crunch Berry, the new Cap'n Crunch Delights are a doughnut hole version of Berries cereal, complete with a cream filling that's supposed to represent milk.

So far, the new Delights are only available in select test markets, but they have the potential for nationwide distribution.

In a particularly telling comment, a Taco Bell exec made it pretty clear that the company is banking on consumers' refusal to grow up.

"It's a nostalgic throwback brand from when you were a kid," Amanda Clark, Taco Bell's senior director of marketing, told Nation's Restaurant News

"We feel like it will appeal to what we call 'kid-ults,' or the kid-adults out there."
