Taco Bell Just Transformed The Chicken Nugget

Inspired by chips and dip, Taco Bell has just debuted a triangular chicken nugget that's cozily compatible with an accompanying nacho cheese dip. Known as the "Naked Chicken Chips," these thin, wedge-shaped chicken nuggets are a throwback to the limited-edition Naked Chicken Chalupa, which was phased out in March.

You can get the Naked Chicken Chips (complete with nacho cheese dipping sauce), as a six-piece for $1.99, 12-piece for $2.99 or as part of a meal combo starting May 11.

"The world wasn't ready to say goodbye to Naked Chicken, and neither were we," said Marisa Thalberg, chief marketing officer of Taco Bell, in a statement. "Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, we went and added our famous Nacho Cheese to expose the traditional chips and cheese combo like only Taco Bell can."

So what makes a Naked Chicken Chip different than any other chicken nugget? It's "crispy, all-white-meat chicken kicked up with bold Mexican spices and seasoning."
