Taco Bell Employee Fired For Writing 'PIG' On A Police Officer's Order

A Taco Bell employee has been fired for writing a derogatory word on a couple's order.

The couple in Newton, Kansas, ordered from Taco Bell on August 1. When they received their food, they were surprised to see the word "PIG" written on the food wrappers. The man is a police officer and was with his fiancé. They believe it was written because "pig" is a slang term for police officers.

The couple told KAKE News that they called the manager on duty and were asked to bring the order back. "I was told I could bring the five tacos back and she would have them remade," the couple said to KAKE News. "I advised her that we were both working and that wasn't an option. She then said she would leave a note to refund our money and get the food remade."

Taco Bell responded to KAKE News, saying they apologize for the worker's behavior and are moving forward to correct what happened. "We do not share the same belief or view as the employee whatsoever," a spokesperson said. "Our company, Taco Bell, has always been pro-law enforcement, military. We've always supported the police in our community. Many of our restaurants give police discounts when they come in and eat."
