Questlove To Host The Coolest Brooklyn Food Festival With Dominique Ansel, George Takei, And More

The Taste Talks series is back, bringing celebrity chefs, food enthusiasts, and industry leaders to Williamsburg to discuss and celebrate the future of the culinary world. Taste Talks is brought to you by gastronomic enthusiast and legendary musician Questlove. The third annual celebration is taking place the weekend of September 11 to 13.

The festival will kick off Friday night with a rooftop dessert party, with Dominique Ansel providing the sweets and a celebrity DJ providing the beats at McCarren Hotel & Pool. Alex Stupak (Empellón), Matty Matheson (Parts & Labor), Justin Smillie (Upland), and Star Trek's George Takei will be there.Saturday will be packed with fireside chats, panels, demonstrations, and workshops, with thought-provoking panels like "The Critic and the Internet" and the pun-filled "Dough! Loafing Around with the Modern Baker."

Saturday and Sunday will be dedicated to futurology and the question of how we will be eating in 50 to 100 years. The Future Food Expo will feature new and upcoming innovations and products. If you're more inclined to spend your time boozing instead, Pies & Thighs will host a chicken and waffles brunch with plenty of bloody marys.

Topping it off is the All-Star Chef BBQ on Sunday, featuring the culinary talents of Upland's Justin Smillie with rapper Heems and Robicelli's Bakery's Allison and Matt Robicelli.
