Paula Deen Is Opening A New Restaurant In Savannah, Georgia, This Summer

Paula Deen — one of the most controversial figures in food — is still opening up restaurants, y'all!

The soon-to-be-opened Paula Deen's Creek House will be the butter baroness' third restaurant in her home city of Savannah, Georgia.

Like many of her eateries, the seafood-focused Creek House will feature Southern fried favorites like fried catfish, fried oysters, and fried shrimp, along with crab cakes, shrimp and grits, and more, as you can see on the menu preview here.

The last we heard from Paula Deen, she was getting her groove on as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars and had released a clothing line for plus-size women. Deen has generally tried to avoid negative press since 2013, when she was famously fired from Food Network after a racist recording leaked.
