Papa John’s Guarantees You’ll Love Your Pizza, or It Will Send You Another One for Free

Pizza chain introduces a ‘Quality Guarantee’

Papa John’s takes its commitment to provide “Better Ingredients and Better Pizza” to the next level with its new ‘Quality Guarantee.’ The website reads, “If you don’t love your pizza, tell us why and we’ll deliver another one absolutely free.” Under the Quality Guarantee, customers must have their receipt and are instructed to call the restaurant where the pizza was ordered, at which point Papa John’s will deliver another pizza of equal or lesser value.

There are, of course, certain terms and conditions associated with the Quality Guarantee. The website reads, “The Quality Guarantee only applies to a pizza you order and purchase directly from Papa John's that is not of satisfactory quality. Examples of unsatisfactory quality include: temperature (cold), undercooked/overcooked pizza, skimpy toppings, wrong pizza/toppings, and damaged pizza.” The guarantee does not apply to issues related to delivery time, sides, drinks, or desserts. Claims must be made within 30 minutes of pickup or delivery time, and no more than two slices of the original pizza can be consumed.

John Schnatter, founder, chairman, and CEO of Papa John’s, says, “Papa John’s didn’t need a ‘Quality Guarantee’, but if we want to live by our commitment to provide ‘Better Ingredients and Better Pizza’ we have to be able to deliver.”
