Olive Garden Wants To Cater Your Next Party

In case you haven't heard the big news, you can now get Olive Garden to cater your next big shindig. The casual Italian chain has added large party food delivery to its list of "to-go" services. Now you can get large bowls of pasta with creamy, cheesy sauces and — more appealingly — baskets of its famous breadsticks for a large party.

Catering delivery is available for orders of $125 or more, with a 15-percent delivery fee for orders of up to $500, and a five-percent delivery fee for every dollar more, according to a press release.

"Our Olive Garden team members are always striving to make any occasion effortless for our guests so they can focus on quality time with their family and friends," Dan Kiernan, executive vice president of operations for Olive Garden, said in a statement.

Olive Garden technically already offers catering, but it's only for pick-up. This system will allow door-to-door delivery for large gatherings.

The added catering option also comes with a few new menu items like Tuscan sirloin steak and mozzarella fritti drizzled in Alfredo and marinara sauce, as well as a selection of Piadina, which are thin flatbread sandwiches.
