The Newest Shake Shack Burger Is Topped With Beer And Bacon Caramelized Onions

Shake Shack's new menu item game is on point these days. Just a couple of weeks after introducing the already wildly popular ChickenShack fried chicken sandwich, as well as a new coffee and doughnut concrete flavor, Shake Shack is releasing a brand-new burger: the Roadside Shack Burger. The Roadside Shack is a cheeseburger topped with caramelized onions simmered in beer and bacon, and is available at all Shake Shack locations starting this week.

Yes, you heard that right: onions that have been caramelized with the almighty burger-friendly flavors of beer and bacon. The nostalgic flavors of this new roadside creation harken back to classic burger Americana when roadside stands and convertibles were the rage.

"The beer and bacon caramelized onions bring out even more depth of flavor and juiciness to our delicious flat-top griddled burgers," said Mark Rosati, culinary director of Shake Shack.

Hurry, though: The new Roadside burger will only be available for a limited time.
