Who doesn’t love jelly beans? They’re are an Easter staple, but Jelly Belly wants to prove that they can be enjoyed all year long with the release, post-Easter, of the newest official Jelly Belly flavor. Drum roll, please… welcome to the sugary Jelly Belly family, pancakes and maple syrup jelly beans.
You can get your hands on this breakfast favorite sometime soon at Jelly Belly and Cracker Barrel locations. For the jelly bean novice who generally sticks with lemon- and cherry-flavored beans, a pancake and maple syrup flavor may sound a little out there. But it’s certainly not the wackiest Jelly Belly flavor. For St. Patrick’s Day last year, the candy company released a draft beer flavor. Then, of course, there are the BeanBoozled jelly beans, which look exactly like harmless Jelly Belly flavors, but taste much worse (licorice is actually skunk spray, and buttered popcorn is rotten eggs).
With that being said, we’re super excited to try out pancake and syrup jelly beans. Maybe they’ll come out with bacon and sausage flavors next for a balanced candy breakfast.
