Name Your Child 'Quinoa' And Win $10,000

We've heard of Kale, Apple, and Basil as names, so it was only a matter of time before this superfood made the list.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse announced on June 23 that the first family to name their child "Quinoa" between Labor Day and October 21 of this year will be awarded $10,000 in gift cards to BJ's, according to Entrepreneur.

The restaurant is introducing quinoa bowls to the menu, and Kevin Mayer, chief marketing officer at BJ's, said in a statement that they "wanted to do something big, maybe even a little crazy."

BJ's is also offering rewards for people who aren't parents. If you change your name to "Quinoa" on Twitter, the restaurant will give you a $10 off $35 coupon until July 6.

Naming a baby is a big deal and if someone will actually be named Quinoa, at least they will be able to relate with these celebrity babies with food names. BJ's said that there is no one name Quinoa in the United States... yet.
