Beginning Monday, January 4, Martha on Dekalb Avenue in Brooklyn will debut the “MSG Series,” or the “Monday Street Grub” series, which is really an homage to Asian cuisine and the incomparable —and naturally occurring — flavor enhancer, monosodium glutamate, or MSG.
According to a press release from the Martha team, chef Andres Valbuena will spend these special Mondays cook[ing] the food that made him fall in love with Asian cuisine—delicious, humble, casual fare.”
More details will be announced on social media as MSG events approach, but the schedule so far is as follows:
Monday, January 5: ramen
Monday, January 26: dim sum
Monday, February 9: wings
Monday, February 23: pho
Monday Street Grub events will take place between 7 and 11 p.m. and cost $25 per person, including unlimited beer from the keg. Reservations for MSG events will not be accepted; walk-ins only.
