Hershey’s has announced its latest innovation, which will be hitting retail shelves in a few short months: Cookie Layer Crunch. It is described as a reinterpretation of the classic Hershey’s bar with a new twist.
Each bar features crunchy cookie bits and a “decadent filling,” wrapped in Hershey’s chocolate, according to a release. There are three flavors: caramel, vanilla crème, and mint.
“Hershey wanted to bring consumers an indulgent snack that is a different experience from the classic Hershey’s chocolate bar, but still just as delicious,” said Mary-Ann Somers, general manager and vice president of The Hershey Company, U.S. “We’ve spent the last 18 months perfecting this innovation to ensure that it not only tastes great, but meets the needs and desires of today’s modern consumer.”
The new product will be offered in multiple sizes, including a 6.3-ounce bag filled with nine individually wrapped pieces, a 3.5-ounce “XL Bar” with five pieces, a 2.1-ounce “King Size Bar” with three pieces, and a 1.4-ounce bar with two pieces (in caramel only).
