Fastest Burrito Roller Took Home Guinness World Record At SXSW

You never know what to expect when it comes to attempts at taking home a Guinness World Record, whether it's creating the largest serving of lechón or making the world's biggest cheese sculpture. Last week at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, staff members from Freebirds World Burrito attempted to break the record for the fastest burrito roller — and they succeeded.

On Friday, March 10, Mashable and Twitter hosted the burrito rolling competition. In order to win, the competitor had to roll a minimum of nine neatly wrapped burritos in three minutes. Required ingredients for the acceptable burritos included tortilla, rice, beans, meat, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and salsa. Each burrito also had to weigh at least 17.63 ounces.

According to the fast-casual restaurant, team member London Nichols took home the title by rolling 10 burritos in three minutes.
