Are These Caffeinated Bagels The Ultimate Wakeup Food?

What if your favorite breakfast could help you wake up in the morning? Einstein Bros. Bagels has put that idea to the test with their new Espresso Buzz Bagel, infused with about 32 milligrams of caffeine (or about one-third of an eight-ounce cup of Joe). They're calling it the world's first caffeinated bagel!

This means you would "only" need to eat three of these to get the equivalent of your morning buzz —talk about a carb coma!

"We knew our culinary team could deliver that same premium, hand-crafted sensory experience with the beloved category hero of espresso in our best-in-class, fresh-baked bagel," Kerry Coyne, Einstein's senior vice president and head of marketing and research and development told Fox News.

The caffeine that's infused into the dough comes from espresso and coffee-cherry flour, and according to reviews, the bagel tastes like a normal bagel until the bitterness of the coffee kicks in.
