Beginning Saturday, March 21, chef April Bloomfield will once again offer house-made hot cross buns for the Easter season.
Traditionally eaten on Good Friday, The Breslin’s hot cross buns will be available until Easter Sunday, on April 5.
Orders (available for takeaway by the half dozen for $20) must be placed by emailing the adorably named firstname.lastname@example.org to request an order form, which should be filled out and returned by noon on the day before you intend to pick them up.
Orders will be packaged in a gift box, and can be picked up from The Breslin’s host stand between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
For proper enjoyment, by the way, Bloomfield recommends that you toast the buns and slather them with fresh butter and flaky salt.
Expect traditional Filipino dishes honoring Edie’s heritage alongside the regular à la carte menu, plus Filipino desserts and San Miguel beer.
